CBSE class 10 results finally announced, ahead of expectations

The Central Board of Secondary Education announced the results of class 10 on Monday evening at 9 pm and the results are available on its website at http://cbseresults.nic.in/

While the initial results show only for Chennai region, other regions’ results will be put out on CBSE website in the next six days, sources said.

To check your results, please click on the URL link here and the opening page will show link to the results entry page. Please enter your exam roll number and date of birth to get the results. More than 1.5 million students have taken CBSE Class 10th and 12th examinations held in March and April this year. While the expectation was that it would be announced sometime around May 28, a daily check by us revealed that they were announced on Monday night at 9 pm.

The results for Class X are announced under the new continuous comprehensive evaluation (CCE) system introduced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which takes into account internal assessment as well.

The CBSE Proficiency Test 2012, which is a pre-examination for those aspiring to assess their level, will also be conducted in July 2012 for class X students who will appear for the final next year. This test is optional. It will be held between July 9 and July 13, said the CBSE.

CBSE has all India jurisdiction, besides 141 affiliated schools abroad in 21 countries.
